As a second generation Doula Solveig brings her years of yoga practice and study as well as a deep understanding of the continuous support and encouragement that is most beneficial to the entire labor and delivery experience. Along with her warm, loving, compassionate nature she offers unwavering attention and care along with a wide variety of pain-management techniques and a comprehensive knowledge of the many medical procedures and interventions commonly used in the birthing process. She is passionate about contributing to an experience that leaves the family feeling proud and prepared, knowing that they have the resources and the care they need to carry with them into the next rewarding phase of parenthood.
Two prenatal visits: Allows for time to establish a relationship that is built on trust so you can comfortably address any questions, fears, or concerns you may have, and the opportunity to go over the birth plan as needed
Continuous presence and unwavering support during labor, delivery, and the immediate post-partum period: this includes assistance with breathing, relaxation, massage, and advocating for your wants/needs as well as support and guidance with breastfeeding. Also provides the freedom and confidence needed to be flexible and make necessary decisions during the entire process
